“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” ~Luke 4:18-19
For you and for me, He came. He came for our freedom. He came to redeem. He came to give us life abundant. Life eternal. He stepped into our world to show us Love.
And His love surrounds us still, any of us who will call on His name.
Miracle-sweet, His presence and His compassion. It was a holy night when Jesus was born into Mary’s arms…a holy night we rejoice in because those hours brought the moment when He spoke hope into our own hearts…that day so long ago led to the very space in time when grace changed us.
Oh, sweet hymns of joy – in grateful chorus raise we – let all within us praise His holy name!
